The students have been busy researching the various home designs in New Zealand, using the renovate.org.nz website. They are sharing their learning using the amazing Powtoon presentation tool (www.powtoon.com).
They've also trialled some amazing digital software that can be used to illustrate their building and design ideas:
The students are using their knowledge of coding to help programme robots they've constructed. We’re excited to use both the new robotic, TOP, kits purchased last year and the NXT LEGO Mindstorm kits with the returning and first year students respectively. The robotic challenges organised will incorporate the skills creativity, problem solving and team work.
The students are working on planning their menus to include the requirements of the challenge briefs. Today they visited some city restaurants and cafes to look at menu items and prices.
Max and Finn also made Macaroni Cheese pots, this showed the group how you can turn a family meal into an entree sized portion.
They received a 9 out of 10 from the Masterchef Junior Judges!
